Lauren is the Assistant Director at Treobytes, a nonprofit dedicated to closing the STEM opportunity gap for underrepresented youth. She holds degrees in Biological Sciences and Education from Truman State University with coursework integrated from University of Wyoming. With experience as a high school science and physics teacher in both private and public schools and as a field instructor for Teton Science Schools, she specializes in hands-on learning & programming.At Treobytes, Lauren develops and delivers STEM programs, trains staff, and builds community partnerships to create engaging educational experiences. She is passionate about empowering students and educators to explore all aspects of STEM, develop new skills, and build confidence through hands-on learning.
Looking ahead, Lauren aims to expand Treobytes’ reach by integrating environmental sensors and environmental education partnerships. She is also committed to fostering a culture where staff and students feel encouraged to experiment, embrace failure, and grow through the learning process.
