Sophia is the Operations Administrator at Treobytes, a nonprofit dedicated to closing the STEM opportunity gap for underrepresented youth. With a background in elementary education from the University of San Diego, she has spent her time out of college either teaching, coaching, or providing support to those in the classroom. She is responsible for materials, logistics, and her operations staff as she provides each program what they need and the resources to succeed.

She has taken on the role of maintaining the various systems and machines we run in our maker space and creative lab at our main office located in Barrio Logan, focusing heavily on 3D printing and laser cutting management and oversight. In the next year, she looks forward to expanding the outreach of Treobytes and bringing on a larger team to assist in reaching our goal.
